From December 2nd to 29th, 2016, Dr. Jianwei Shao from Stanford University, Prof. Li Bo from Case Western Reserve University, Prof. Jin Wang from University of Tennessee, Prof. Yang Yang from Michigan Technological University, Prof. Cao Jun from University of Virginia, Canada, University of Paris East Prof. Ahmed MéBARKI, Professor Kostyantyn Yakovchuk of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences and Dr. Tang Lihua of the University of Auckland, New Zealand were invited to the State Key Laboratory of Explosive Science and Technology for academic exchange visits.

During this period, the State Key Laboratory of Explosive Science and Technology organized eight exciting academic reports, such as Professor Tripoli's "OTM Method and Application of ESCAAS Software in Limit Mechanics Simulation" and Professor Ahmed MéBARKI's "Industrial Park Research on Explosion Safety”, “Study on Kinetic Model of Chemical Reaction under High Temperature and High Pressure” by Dr. Jian Jian Shao and Professor Wang Jin’s “Mechanical Model and Simulation of Interaction between Fluid and Structure Under Extreme Load Conditions”. These reports focus on the international frontier research directions of the dynamic mechanical behavior of complex media and structures under extreme load conditions and are of great significance for further strengthening international academic exchanges and cooperation. Many faculty and students from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Materials, and Aerospace Academy participated in this series of academic activities and received enthusiastic response from teachers and students.
